Shaken Baby Syndrome occurs when an infant or young child is shaken forcefully. Shaking can cause serious brain injury and even death! PCA Illinois provides trainings that help participants understand the signs, effects, and causes of SBS, and the impact SBS has on families and society.

Safe Sleep Program

Safe sleep habits are crucial when caring for a baby. 111 sleep-related deaths occurred in Illinois in 2020. Unsafe sleep is the leading cause of death for children one year old and younger.

This tragedy is preventable! Remember the ABCs of safe sleep: babies should be Alone, on their Backs, in a safe Crib.
