Over this last year, we have again faced challenges, uncertainty, and unrest. But we have also achieved many successes and accomplishments that most would have never thought possible! That is why it is now more important than ever to celebrate home visiting and to share our appreciation for all the hard work home visiting staff and programs have put in this year. In 2020, amidst an ongoing pandemic, home visiting programs provided 47,307 home visits – which is almost 4,800 more than the previous year. This tremendous effort could not have been done without all the dedicated and hard-working home visiting staff throughout the state! Your commitment to your families and each other has been such a bright light in rather dark times. We hope you can take a second and soak in the appreciation and the gratitude for the work you are doing! We hope you enjoy this appreciation video and celebration page made just for you!

Home Visiting Participant Testimony
Hear from home visiting program participant, Brianne, talk about the impact home visiting has had on her and her family! Brianne’s home visitor wrote about her, “Brianne is resilient, she has a positive attitude and she is aware of how her life experiences have impacted her and her parenting.”
While we know Brianne is just one of thousands of lives home visitors have touched throughout Illinois in this past year, we hope her story inspires you and helps home visitors everywhere see how important they are to the families they serve and every community they work in!
