Prevent Child Abuse Illinois has established a very active community education and outreach
effort through its literature distribution program. Since 1993, Prevent Child Abuse Illinois
has provided a variety of brochures and booklets to our prevention partners -- hospitals,
clinics, public health departments, schools, social service agencies, and community groups.
These partners, in turn, distribute this positive parenting material to people in their own
communities.
In the next 12 months, Prevent Child Abuse Illinois plans to double the number of prevention
partners involved in this program. Together, we will distribute nearly 200,000 pieces of literature
to parents, grandparents, babysitters, and others who come in contact with children.
Families are also encouraged to request helpful brochures from Prevent Child Abuse Illinois.
The materials are filled with practical information and tips on calming a crying infant, setting
limits and offering choices for children, dealing with stress, and more important information for
all who are responsible for children.
Positive Parenting and Prevention marketing partnership opportunities are available for businesses, schools, hospitals, health clinics, and civic groups interested in financially supporting this program. Call Lori Large at (217) 522-1129 for details.
