STRATEGIES
  1. SET UP A MEETING WITH YOUR LOCAL LEGISLATOR
    • Call and ask to meet your legislator in their home office or at the Capitol to discuss the proven benefits for families in your community. Although every legislator is important, these personal meetings can be particularly effective if your legislator is on the Senate or House Appropriations Committees.

  2. WRITE A LETTER TO YOUR LOCAL LEGISLATOR
  3. GET ADVISORY BOARDS AND PARTICIPANT FAMILIES TO CONTACT THE GOVERNOR AND THEIR LEGISLATORS.

The budget proposal will soon be presented to the General Assembly and your actions can make a difference! Take action now to voice your support for maintaining funding for home visiting programs! If you would like any help in preparing for a meeting with local legislators, just call
